S7 Football and Literacy
On Thursday 21st June S7 came in to work with Y2-5 on their Literacy in Football course. The afternoon session was split two with half the children doing football skills whilst the other half had a literacy lesson swapping after an hour.
Whilst inside they concentrated on adjectives, memory skills, anagrams and how many words they could make from ‘Manchester United’. For the first time ever they got a 15 letter word, you will need to ask Elena O’Reilly if you want to know what word she made. This was fun because the children were split into teams and competed against each other.
Outside the children were learning many football skills before entering into a small ‘World Cup’ tournament. Fun was had by all!!
