It has been a very busy few weeks at Forton school in the lead up to Christmas with productions, music concerts, meals and assemblies. Here are a selection of photographs from the last few weeks.
Today Class 1 and 2 visited The United Reformed Church in Forton. We listened to some wonderful stories and got to hold lots of different fruits. What a great morning learning all about Harvest.
It has been a very exciting morning here at Forton. We got to meet our new school pets – two very beautiful guinea pigs. They are settling in nicely and love their new home. We will be naming them shortly

This afternoon we had a fantastic visit from the Story Magic Theatre Company. They performed Robin Hood for all the school which was absolutely brilliant! Well done to those children who took on a role in the story and contributed
Did you know that…. …“In 2014 Australian researchers found that in a survey of 25 million children in 28 countries, 9 -17 year olds took on average one and a half minutes to run a mile than their parent’s generation.”
The children worked together in their learning partners to create a poster to remind each other of the school’s E-safety rules. You can see them in the school entrance.
To celebrate Chinese New Year, Class 1 have had a pop-up cafe where they cooked and tasted Chinese food. A special mention goes to Yushiro who showed the children how to use chopsticks.
